MARIA SPIROPULU

Shang-Yi Ch'en Professor of Physics, California Institute of Technology

Maria Spiropulu's research is on high energy physics and instrumentation/technology as well as intersections with AI/ML and Quantum Science and Technology with emphasis on quantum networks and communications. She received her PhD from Harvard, was an Enrico Fermi Fellow at the University of Chicago and a CERN Research Physicist. She is currently the Shang-Yi Ch'en Professor of Physics at Caltech. Her experimental research includes the physics of the Higgs boson, dark matter, supersymmetry, and the origins of space-time. She is founder of the Alliance for Quantum Technologies consortium, targeting quantum networks and communications, and quantum AI.
