DREW BAGLEY

Drew Bagley, Esq. is CrowdStrike’s Chief Privacy Officer, leading the company’s privacy and public policy teams and driving its global data protection strategy and policy engagement. Since joining CrowdStrike as one of its early employees, he has shaped the company’s privacy and public policy strategy throughout its journey from startup through IPO to its position today as a global cybersecurity leader.

Mr. Bagley has testified before the U.S. Congress on modernizing federal cybersecurity and regularly engages with government leaders worldwide on issues at the intersection of security, privacy, and emerging technology. He has served as an advisor to government and nonprofit groups, including CISA’s Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative, the U.S. Department of State, and Europol.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Mr. Bagley serves on the faculty of American University, where he teaches cyber law and policy. He co-hosts the Start Here: Cyber Fundamentals for Policymakers podcast and has long been active in Internet governance, previously co-leading ICANN’s Competition, Consumer Choice, and Consumer Trust Review Team, leading the Secure Domain Foundation, and contributing to the President’s NSTAC Abuse of Domestic Infrastructure Subcommittee. Earlier in his career, he worked at the FBI’s Office of the General Counsel on matters at the intersection of law and technology.

Mr. Bagley was an Alexander von Humboldt German Chancellor Fellow, conducting research in Germany on national security issues, and has taught at the University of Leipzig, the University of Maryland, and the University of Florida. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, as well as a Master’s degree in Mass Communication Law, a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida. He is a member of the New York State Bar.
