ERIC TYSARCZYK
Senior Vice President, National Hockey League (NHL)
Eric Tysarczyk is Senior Vice President for security at the National Hockey League (NHL). He is responsible for risk management activities related to security policy and operations, and his focus is protecting the people, the brand, and the economic assets that comprise the NHL.
Prior to the NHL, Tysarczyk served as Deputy Director of New Jersey’s Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP), where he coordinated counterterrorism, cybersecurity, and emergency preparedness activities. He was formerly a Senior Fellow with The Auburn University’s McCrary Institute for Cyber and Homeland Security and served as an appointed member of the federal Classified National Security Information Program’s policy advisory committee, established by President Obama via Executive Order 13549.
Tysarczyk’s past government service also included service as Director of Preparedness Policy at the White House Homeland Security Council, where he organized policy initiatives and programs that supported domestic security efforts across the nation. He has also served at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, overseeing security programs for state and local governments. Tysarczyk was also previously a Deputy Chief Counsel with the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel, where advised on varying legal matters of security and public safety. Tysarczyk has held positions with several private sector organizations. He was a principal in a small consulting company providing services to both public and private sector organizations, including the U.S. Department of Defense. During time at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Tysarczyk assisted clients through a variety of management consulting engagements, including prescient strategies to address cybersecurity. After PwC he joined a NASDAQ-traded organization and focused his work on business analytics and cybersecurity for international supply chains.
Tysarczyk earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Arcadia University and a Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America.
